Creating Backups
DirMonitor can automatically create backups of the Watched Files.

You can enable the backup feature directly from the Add File Watch Form:

Just check the files you want to have backupped and click Add to Watchlist.

Use the Backup Tab of the Preferences Window to set the backup interval and other settings concerning these backups.

Every now and then, DirMonitor will create backups of all Watched Files in your DirMonitor File.

To exclude a file from this backup cycle, right-click that file in your DirMonitor File and uncheck Enable Backup.

If you choose Generate Backups, all appropriate files will be backupped.

To Restore your Backups, you should use Restore Backups...

The Restore Backups Window will hold all backups that you can restore.

If a file in the list is colored red, it has changed. DirMonitor will always hold 2 backups. That way, you can restore a backup from a previous backup cycle.

To restore a file, select a file in the list, right-click and choose Restore.

If you choose Delete, the backup-file will be deleted.
