| Monitor Folders |
Here you will learn how to add a folder to start monitoring the events that occur in that folder.
In this session I've created a dummy folder named C:\Test. In this folder, I will put new files and folders, delete and modify files.

Now add C:\Test to your DirMonitor File as you've learned in Getting Started

If you want, you can minimize DirMonitor.
When you're done, add a file to the folder (for example: right-click and choose New|[some filetype]).

I've added a new Text File to C:\Test.
After a while (this interval can be set in Preferences)DirMonitor will register the changes in C:\Test. If you've minimized DirMonitor, you'll notice a hint popping up, informing you of the event.

The delay is necessary to ensure system stability when there are many changes.
If you see the hint, you can maximize DirMonitor by clicking that hint. Otherwhise, right-click on the icon and choose Show.

You'll notice that the Watch in the list of your DirMonitor File is colored red. This means an event happened within the last 5 minutes.
If you click the entry and hold your mouse above it, a hint will appear telling you which event has occured.

To view a log of all events of the monitored folders/files, just double-click the folder/file.

Here you have an overview of all activities in the monitored folder.
As an example, I'll discuss the following Log:

It appears that 3 events have occured.
- In the first column you see the file/folder that has changed.
- The second column contains the action.
- The column named Event Time contains the time when this event occured.
- The last column contains the name of the person who's changed the file/folder.(registration needed)
- The other columns contain other useful information about the file/folder.
